Natural capital and biodiversity projects

Create a Natural Capital Account with us following these steps:

Natural Capital Accounts and beyond

A Natural Capital Account can unlock the inherent value of nature for
you, facilitating sustainable growth and resilience. Establishing an
accredited Natural Capital Account not only enhances decision
-making and environmental stewardship but can open up new
financial opportunities, improve risk management, and position
your organisation as a leader in sustainability.

  • First, we work with you to identify the most important natural assets on your property. This important step ensures that the Natural Capital Account meets your needs and gives us the information we need to plan the detailed survey work that follows.

  • Next, we conduct thorough surveys and monitoring of your property, applying the appropriate Accounting For Nature® methodologies. This establishes a crucial baseline for environmental assets such as waterways, fauna, and flora.

  • Data on the condition of environmental assets is compiled into a Natural Capital Account. This gives you a clear picture of your land's natural assets.

  • Following this, we work with Accounting For Nature® accredited auditors to get your newly created natural capital account officially certified.

  • From here you begin to derive strategic benefits, including brand enhancement, better stakeholder relationships through demonstrated environmental commitment, improved access to government grants, and the opportunity to engage with emerging markets for natural capital, such as Queensland’s Land Restoration Fund and Australia’s Nature Repair Market.

  • Work with us long-term to refine or expand an approach, continually monitor the condition of your natural assets, and track improvements over time. This ensures long-term environmental and economic progress. Natural Capital Accounts must be reassessed every five years for continued accreditation and benefits. Item description

  • As an additional service option, we can work with you to develop a tailored sustainable land management plan, covering areas such as habitat restoration, grazing management, and weed control.
